Sports Certified Specialist

Gillette Physical Therapy boasts the only board-certified specialist in sports physical therapy in Gillette. Randy Hite has been a board certified sports specialist since 2007, 1 of only 2 in Wyoming, and 1 of only 640 in the world. Board certified clinical specialists have built on a broad base of professional education and experience to develop greater knowledge and skills in sports physical therapy.

To become a board certified specialist, the physical therapist must demonstrate competence in both specialized knowledge and advanced clinical proficiency. Among the minimum requirements are documented hours of direct patient care in the chosen specialty area, no less than 10 years experience in the chosen specialty area, and successful completion of a rigorous examination administered by the National Board of Medical Examiners.

Board certified sports specialists promote the highest level of enhanced diagnostic skills and specialty care for individuals seeking sports physical therapy. This includes managing patients with complex sports related conditions to achieve the most effective outcomes.
