Jara Soost, LAT, ATC
Shortly after Jara graduated from the University of Minnesota, she moved to Wyoming, where she worked at the hospital for five years and provided services to the school district. She then moved to Montana for less than two years but returned to Wyoming to pursue an 11-year career at the local Rec Center, where she provided athletic coverage and training for any sports programs they facilitated. This allowed her to have a flexible schedule as she raised her children. Once her children got older, she took a position at Campbell County High school for three years as an athletic trainer. After being employed in multiple different states with a wide variety of job descriptions, she decided that Gillette Physical Therapy is the place she wanted to be because of the friendly environment and team approach.
Jara’s favorite part of her job is the ability to work with a variety of people from young to old. Her great combination of experience and people skills is what makes her a great athletic trainer. She is able to adapt well as she helps patients with different backgrounds, ages, and capabilities.
When she isn’t working, Jara enjoys hanging out with her husband and two children whether that be camping, watching sports, turning on a movie, or knitting. She attends Prince of Peace church and donates most of what she knits to those in need. Volunteering at athletic events is another one of her favorite things to do.
Jara lives by the motto, “Bring your own sunshine.”
