Treat others how you want to be treated.

CHRISTINE CLOUSTON, DPT

Chris Clouston has been a physical therapist for the last 28 years. With her overall ability to effectively treat patients complemented by her experience in varied aspects of the field, Chris is vital to the Gillette Physical Therapy team. While Clouston is proud of the GPT clinic for countless reasons, she was initially drawn there for the strong knowledge base and friendly atmosphere that it represents. Chris also appreciates the supportive staff that she is a part of and the way that their unique, individual personalities all blend together to create an exceptional work environment.

Throughout her time as a physical therapist, Chris Clouston has remained a leader in the physical therapy field because of her constant drive to expand her knowledge base with hundreds of hours of continued education. Clouston’s background of mastery lies in the orthopedic and neurologic categories specializing in Vestibular Rehabilitation, manual therapy skills, and pediatric therapy; however, this has never put a limit on the growth of her skills. She works hard to stay on top of contemporary developments in techniques with constant changes in the medical field, as well as with advanced orthopedic and neurological classes. Her success as a therapist can be largely attributed to her “always-looking-to-improve” attitude and her ability to adjust techniques so that they are just right for each client.

Clouston loves getting to spend time with clients, fully investing in their well-being and does all she can to support them in reaching their goals. Through developing relationships with clients and applying her mastery, Chris practices what she is passionate about and helps patients experience decreased pain while gaining mobility. Ultimately, Chris Clouston works to enable clients to get back to doing the things they love. Several specializations assist Chris in doing this: Vestibular Rehabilitation, certification in dry needling (CTrMT), certification in ergonomics, certification in infant massage therapy (IMT), and advanced training in manual therapy techniques.

While the clinic is of great importance to Chris, so is the city of Gillette. Clouston has regularly been involved in community events for the past 26 years through attending Gillette Physical Therapy sponsored functions, housing and hosting internship students, hosting Energy Classic players, and helping with other community events. She is also a talented musician and acts as an active member of the Gillette Chamber Singers, not only performing, but also providing housing for Chamber Singers that visit the community to help with musical performances. Furthermore, Clouston is always looking for ways to support/help her church and get involved with the youth group and church activities. When she gets some time to herself, you can find Chris partaking in nearly any outdoor activity including: skiing (both water and snow), hiking, golfing, and boating. Outside of hobbies and work, Clouston finds being a mom and wife to be the most awesome aspect of her life. With a supportive and loving husband and sweet son, Cordell, who is 22 and attending college in Texas, Chris is grateful that GPT is a clinic that supports family. No matter the aspect of her life, Chris Clouston lives by the saying, “treat others how you want to be treated,” and never relents in trying to be the best she can be.
