Athletic Trainer for Immediate Hire

Experience: Preferably 1+ years; but inexperienced are welcome to apply
Employment Type: Full Time
Compensation: Competitive salary ranging from $40,000-$60,000 based on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, manage and rehabilitate athletic injuries of student-athletes

  • Provide on-site coverage of athletic team practices and competitions as determined by the athletic training staff

  • Develop professional contacts with referring physicians, coaches and other referral sources

  • Coordinate with clinic Physical Therapists in the treatment of patients with sports and orthopedic related conditions as appropriate

  • Refer to the team Physician all cases which require advanced professional services

  • Provide oversight and manage concussion testing

  • Participate and be an active provider in athlete's injury clinic

  • Participate in data collection for research studies as needed

Requirements:

  • BOC Certified. Athletic Trainer

  • Eligibility for licensure in the state of Wyoming

  • Current CPR/First Aid/AED Certification

  • Effective decision making and interpersonal skills

  • Effective organization and documentation skills

Desired:

  • Experience with college-level and high school students

  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association

  • Experience with ATS EMR System

  • NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist

  • NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist

  • ImPACT concussion management certified

  • Sportmetrics injury prevention program certified

  • At least 1-5 years experience in Athletic Training

  • Experience working in a clinical environment

  • Good communication skills

  • Flexibility in a professional setting

Schedule:
40+ hours/week

Job Description:
Coverage will include outreach ATC services to venues based on demand. Current vendors include Gillette College men's/women's rodeo, Gillette Legion baseball, Gillette. Wild Junior NA3HL Hockey team and Moorcroft High School. The ATC would provide assistance in the clinic on days not providing coverage
